With “Le moment de briller!”, EDF celebrates the culmination of five years of full commitment to Paris 2024. During this cycle, the French energy leader didn’t just support the Games - it helped redefine their standards.
As a historic partner of French sport and an operational player within the Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, EDF, with SPORTFIVE’s strategic support, rolled out an unprecedented activation approach combining energy innovation, social impact, and internal engagement. This 360° activation highlighted EDF’s key roles: supplying 100% renewable electricity, delivering low-carbon infrastructure solutions, implementing major CSR initiatives, providing premium hospitality, designing large-scale public experiences, and strengthening its digital presence. All of this was powered by the exceptional involvement of the Group’s 60,000 employees.
The core objective: proving that it is possible to organise more sustainable Games, cutting CO₂ emissions by half compared to London 2012, while embodying a more inclusive, more responsible, and more innovative approach to sport.
A powerful symbol of this ambition: the creation of the first electric Olympic cauldron in history, a technical and storytelling feat that became the icon of Paris 2024 and a testament to EDF’s decisive role in the success of this exceptional edition.
Through a strong narrative, massive deployment, and close coordination with all stakeholders, the activation reached millions of people across France, strengthened brand perception, and confirmed EDF as one of the key contributors to the success of Paris 2024.
SILVER - Volkswagen eHybride « L’art de ne pas choisir »

Volkswagen aimed to reaffirm the relevance of its eHybrid range in an extremely competitive automotive market. SPORTFIVE created a commercial featuring the French National Football Team around a concept that is both clever and humorous: celebrating the freedom of not having to choose, through eHybrid technology.
In the spot, a fictional assistant coach presents the team with a “revolutionary tactic”: playing all 24 selected players on the field at the same time. The players, both surprised and bewildered, quickly realize that the coach… simply couldn’t decide. A final twist draws the parallel with Volkswagen’s eHybrid range, which seamlessly combines electric and combustion engines without compromise.
True to its signature tone of humor and camaraderie, Volkswagen lets the French team perform naturally, breaking away from typical clichés. The players are not mere extras; they actively drive the storyline, reacting with authenticity and self-mockery in a style rarely seen in advertising.
SILVER - Announcement of the French Rocket League Team Selection

In 2024, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced the creation of the French Rocket League Team - a historic first: for the very first time, France would participate in the FIFA eWorld Cup in this game that combines arcade-style football and cars, now a global phenomenon.
Rather than activating the FIFA World Cup itself, which is subject to strict regulations, we chose to focus on a pivotal moment: the announcement of this new French Team’s roster. Traditionally a key moment in sports, the anticipation was even higher for this inaugural team: star players, normally rivals at club level, would come together under the same jersey for the first time.
Until now, such reveals were exclusively managed by the federations. Volkswagen took a bold step: becoming the first partner in history to announce a national team selection, exclusively, on behalf of the federation itself. This unique announcement took the form of an epic reveal film, designed to combine:
Gaming and eSport culture: immersive staging using in-game footage, a playful tone, and active participation from Rocket Baguette, the star Rocket League commentators.
Traditional French Team codes: players arriving at Clairefontaine in Volkswagen ID. vehicles, as with other French national teams.
Product highlight: the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, the brand’s sporty 100% electric model, showcased as a symbol of performance and innovation.
Result: massive engagement, over 12.5 million views, and immediate credibility within the Rocket League community.
